Stirling Engine Generator "walking beam" alpha configuration premiere

Hey guys,
I've got a glossy,
well made, high speed Stirling Engine Generator
what I've been tested in the past few days.
It was amazing!

The walking beam part's
made from brass.
The whole engine preciously fabricated with cnc machine.

I measured the RPM of the engine
it was much faster than I thought first.
Between 2000-2500 was the average RPM,
but sometimes it could run on 3250 RPM.
(no wind, I used burner heat trap)

The engine has graphite coated pyrex glass pistons for the good sliding and sealing performance.
The unit has good compression ratio.
The pistones are moves freely as possible with small
under 15mm stroke.

The main cylinder was made from pyrex tube with 16 mm outer diameter.
The displacer piston made from a glass syringe's piston directly
with our cutted part of a glass cylinder
what they put into the aluminium radiator part with silicone O rings.

The stands are stainless steel rods fixed with SS material bolts.
We have a nice glass alcohol burner with eloxed aluminium cup
also we have a side fixed DC generator
what we could
connect to the engine with a rubber ring
also we could use some blinking LEDs.

These are quiet beautifully indicate the small generator's power.

I made a PREMIERE video
where I show you the unboxing process with some slow motion videos:

Collaboration with EngineDIY.com

Hey guys,
BLADE is here again!
Today I wanna show you my new friendly cooperation
with a heat engine-desktop toy manufacturer

They was founded in 2009 for retailing different type of heat engine models in China only.
Few years later they are opened the borders
and they turned business to international e-commerce services.

They have nicely machined and designed desktop toys.

I've got a cast molded base all-metal HTD Stirling engine KIT

Marble Stirling with water piston balancer

Hi folks,

BLADE is here again!
Today I need to show you an old but unique construction from my earlier Stirling engine collection.
I combined the classical marble Stirling engine
and the "ROCKY" style water piston balanced LTD Stirling engine.

It could work as a flip-flop Stirling with marble.

The original picture from this site: http://www.oocities.org/hustierhof/MC_rocky.html

So, my engine is a "marble rocky" Stirling

3D printed flexure bearing/ collected flat spiral spring

Hi folks!

Yep, I've been busy so much! :(

Here is my new small project with my 3D printer from ABS material.
The springs are only 1 mm thick. I collected 4 pcs of them with 1 mm spacers.
The product is so cool!
I hope it could be work with a nice free piston engine soon!

Hacked air pump as an alpha type Stirling engine heat pump

Hi folks!

Here is my new little HACK just for fun!

I was excited about this configuration, because on the web I can't found too much information from this type of engine.
Some people said it is failed, and this configuration is not possible to work, but why?
I needed one! :)

OK! I found some pdf documents about some experiments without any usable information for a simple DIY engine.
So, I started to think as a modeller, how can I create a simple design from something what I can buy in the market.
So a linear air pump was the solution.
This is a long life, low maintenance solution with a good price and life time period.
I choosen the RESUN's ACO-003 electromagnetic air pump for it.
It has a 45mm diameter piston with dry sealing in a graphite-steel cylinder.

Some modification on the engine:
- took off the air filter and the nozzle cup
- took off the valves
- closed ALL the holes around the engine
- fixed the spring's end, took off the ball valve from there and closed it with a bolt

- closed with rubber sheet and insulated the piston's head with polystyrene

The piston's maximum stroke is approximately 15mm.

I created a custom/home made passive hot heat exchanger side from flat
aluminium acetone heat pipes.
The homemade modificated heatpipes dimensions: L: 200mm W: 1,2mm H: 5mm
I collected 30 pcs of them with 0,35mm gap between neighboring parts.
Molded the whole HX with two components polyurethane.
That was the biggest pain in the arse...

The engine's free piston is a 100 mm of a simple motocycle's rubber boots.
This is a simple solution for this stroke limit.
The self resonance frequency was near by 30-40 Hz,
so should compress a bit with an adjustable end for the best phase shift.
The regenerator is fine stainless steel mesh.
I collected them with 45˙ degrees different in every layer for the lower heat conduction.
The length was 30 mm
Fixed with bolts, threaded rod, PVC tubes
and the chiller was ready to use.
Yes it hasn't got cold side HX actually, because it was a prototype!
But no insulated around the cold side, so it is loaded via the PVC material from the outside.

The cold heat exchanger will be the next step. I'll update it as soon as possible!

Magnetic propulsion drive LTD Stirling

Hi folks!

I made a little LTD Stirling engine with my open source magnetic drive system.
The mechanism works perfectly!

The engine could run fast as a JAXA Stirling,
but actually I created  some mistakes in the construction yet.
The cylinder and the glass piston was sticky somehow!
And the piston movement was limited too.
Anyway...
but the engine started with these bad parameters too!

This gives enormous power to continue my work on my way!
I won give up!

Here is a little video below.

Support my efforts with a simple video sharing, or link sharing on your community site please!

Magnetic Propulsion Drived Stirling Engine (Video)

Hi folks!

Do you remember my very old Stirling engine driving method?

YEP!

Last weekend I found an old but short video from my first prototype
magnetic propulsion drived HTD Stirling engine.

That was a big suprise,
I didn't remember any video from this engine!
:)
But here it is!

It was a bad construction, but it worked 4 full stroke and two other. :)
The engine wasn't cooled, so it wasn't a big suprise.

Share this video, and the driving method too
because it is an open source project!
Non patented driving mechanism!

And I believe the Butterfly effect
also
the 100th monkey theorys!
